The Weeknd for H&M’s “Spring Icons”

The Weeknd is definitely on a roll this year! New album, new tour, new videos and most recently a new endorsement deal with H&M. Though The Weeknd doesn’t believe in icons, H&M does and clearly considers him and his influence an iconic one. The collaboration includes pieces that are representative of The Weeknd’s style and how men dress today. Here’s what he had to say about his selections: “When I chose the pieces for Spring Icons Selected by the Weeknd, I was thinking about the way men dress today … It’s about finding the right balance between sharp and casual, with all the details that count.” The collection will be available March 2nd. Until then H&M released this teaser video to hold you over while you wait. Here’s a peak at the selections:

It seems that Lil Uzi Vert’s creative juices are flowing as he dropped 4 new tracks yesterday. We can probably credit his opening for The Weeknd’s European Tour ‘StarBoy Legend of the Fall’. The tour kicked off on February 17 and runs until July 22. It seems that the tour will result in an album for Lil Uzi at the rate he’s dropping tracks. Out of the 4 tracks my favorite is ‘Boring Shit’. Take a listen to all 4 tracks below:

Jay-Z is the First Rapper to be Inducted Into the Songwriters Hall of Fame

Braking records and taking names is still the name of Jay-Z’s game. For years we’ve listened to Jay-Z’s music in awe of his lyrical genius and crazy word play and that talent has gained him the recognition he deserves. Yesterday, Jay-Z was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and not only that, he upped the ante being the first rapper to be inducted. The Songwriters Hall of Fame described Jay Z as an “accomplished lyricist,” recognized for his “remarkable wordplay.” Chance the Rapper took the time to congratulate on Twitter: S/o to my OGs, Jay Z and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, who were elected to the Songwriters Hall of Fame today. Karrueche Tran filed for a temporary restraining order against ex-boyfriend Chris Brown that included claims of death threats and physical abuse. Here are the facts: Karrueche Tran filed for a temporary restraining order on February 17, in Los Angeles, California. The request includes that Chris stay 100 yards away from Karrueche, her mother and brother. Karrueche claims that Chris physically abused her in one case by punching her in the stomach twice and pushing her down stairs. She also stated that he assaulted a few of her friends by throwing a drink at them and threatening to “harass” them.
