I’m back like I never left and the chill is getting real, real! Summer is almost over, cuffin’ season is in full swing, Netflix and chill requests are at an all time high and temps are hitting Fall lows. With all this in mind, mother nature has forced me to think fashionably warm thoughts. Then I bumped into this beauty. It’s aesthetics took me back to the 80s fashion nostalgia with a boxy sweatshirt fit, Gucci’s signature red and green web stripe and the ‘Life is Gucci’ graffiti inspired slogan. P.O.W.: Fendi Fur + Leather Slip-On Sneakers

I absolutely hate shoe strings. Before I put my sneakers on I take the strings and hide them neatly inside the shoes and it grinds my boyfriend’s gears:)  I have no desire to tie my shoestrings 100 times a day, tripping over them or getting them stuck in an escalator (this happened to me as a child). Don’t judge me. Either way I love the skater’s/slip on sneakers because they’re hassle free and very comfortable might I add. Designers are having a field day with design and embellishment ideas for the sneaker that can have office appeal. The fur embellishment of the Fendi slip-on sneakers grabbed my attention. This sneaker has side elastic inserts, leather upper, metallic lether detail, rubber toe, contrasing color stitching, shearling patches, rubber sole with fur composed of 70% calf and 30% lamb. P.O.W.:Tommy Hilfiger Flag Cropped Sweatshirt

My first thought when I spotted this cropped top was the Tommy Hilfiger 90s ad campaign with Aaliyah, Kidada Jones, Kate Hudson, Mark Ronson, Simon Rex and a host of others in an effort to urbanize the brand. I can even think of the Macy’s in-store campaign with Destiny’s Child. We didn’t have the in your face, over saturation of social media to keep the brand on our minds… just the artists we loved in ads to influence our fashion sense. It was the 90s…the good ol’ days. In an effort to revive the brand and revisit the 90s I have been seeing the wind breakers, bubble coats and underwear up and down my timeline in retweet after retweet. And of course, like everyone else you click the link to see where you can purchase those items and nothing! I happened to bump into this piece and figured I would share the wealth.
