The Weeknd for H&M’s “Spring Icons”

The Weeknd is definitely on a roll this year! New album, new tour, new videos and most recently a new endorsement deal with H&M. Though The Weeknd doesn’t believe in icons, H&M does and clearly considers him and his influence an iconic one. The collaboration includes pieces that are representative of The Weeknd’s style and how men dress today. Here’s what he had to say about his selections: “When I chose the pieces for Spring Icons Selected by the Weeknd, I was thinking about the way men dress today … It’s about finding the right balance between sharp and casual, with all the details that count.” The collection will be available March 2nd. Until then H&M released this teaser video to hold you over while you wait. Here’s a peak at the selections:

P.O.W.: Balenciaga’s Swing Doudoune Coat

Balenciaga’s got us covered in more ways than one. The swing doudoune coat is one of this season’s hottest trends and Balenciaga made it the highlight of their Fall 2016 campaign. The stamp of celebrity approval was given by Rihanna in the upcoming issue of CR Fashion Book. Living in a cold state will have you on the hunt for the warmest coats possible and this cocoon is the perfect way to protect you from the elements. The Balenciaga Swing Doudoune Coat is available for purchase here.

P.O.W.: Life Is Gucci

I’m back like I never left and the chill is getting real, real! Summer is almost over, cuffin’ season is in full swing, Netflix and chill requests are at an all time high and temps are hitting Fall lows. With all this in mind, mother nature has forced me to think fashionably warm thoughts. Then I bumped into this beauty. It’s aesthetics took me back to the 80s fashion nostalgia with a boxy sweatshirt fit, Gucci’s signature red and green web stripe and the ‘Life is Gucci’ graffiti inspired slogan. This stylish cotton/neoprene sweatshirt can be purchased at Selfridges and Co. The ‘Life is Gucci’ sweatshirt is available for purchase here. I’m clearly a words kind of girl, so the slogan was the initial draw for me. If you know me you know that my summer has been filled with leaving my job, a break up, hanging out, making new business connections, tons of laughing and the new boo. Summer 16′ has been quite a ride and with all of it’s ups and downs I can still tell the story …

I figured the majority of you would love it too. Click the image below to purchase. P.O.W.: Moschino Short Sweater Dress

In the midwest, predictable weather isn’t permitted. A forecasted spring day of sunshine could turn into a full blown blizzard. Where I’m from you have to stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready! Moschino had the right idea when they placed the fashion warning, “Quitting fashion now greatly reduces serious risks to your health.” You can’t give up on creative ways to stay chic and prepared for any of the elements that could possibly come your way. A sweater dress is always considered a spring go to when you can’t come up with anything else. If push comes to shove, you roll up the sleeves if it gets to warm and throw on a pair of legging or tights if it turns cool and breezy. This Moschino sweater dress is from the Fall/Winter ’16 Capsule Collection, which would have you ahead of the game and ready for anything. Available for purchase here.
