I’m back like I never left and the chill is getting real, real! Summer is almost over, cuffin’ season is in full swing, Netflix and chill requests are at an all time high and temps are hitting Fall lows. With all this in mind, mother nature has forced me to think fashionably warm thoughts. Then I bumped into this beauty. It’s aesthetics took me back to the 80s fashion nostalgia with a boxy sweatshirt fit, Gucci’s signature red and green web stripe and the ‘Life is Gucci’ graffiti inspired slogan. This stylish cotton/neoprene sweatshirt can be purchased at Selfridges and Co. The ‘Life is Gucci’ sweatshirt is available for purchase here. I’m clearly a words kind of girl, so the slogan was the initial draw for me. If you know me you know that my summer has been filled with leaving my job, a break up, hanging out, making new business connections, tons of laughing and the new boo. Where I’m from you have to stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready! Moschino had the right idea when they placed the fashion warning, “Quitting fashion now greatly reduces serious risks to your health.” You can’t give up on creative ways to stay chic and prepared for any of the elements that could possibly come your way. A sweater dress is always considered a spring go to when you can’t come up with anything else. Upcoming Movie: The First Monday In May

For most of us, the first Monday in May means we’re one month closer to our Summer destiny, but for the fashion industry it means attending one of the biggest global fashion events…Met Gala. Every year the most attended fashion exhibition is held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and chaired by Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour. The fashion gods are blessing us with “The First Monday in May“, a behind the scenes look at the creation of the Met Gala and more importantly the debate about whether fashion should be viewed as art. The star-studded cast featuring singer Rihanna, filmmaker Wong Kar Wai and fashion designers Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano will capture the fusion of fashion and celebrities in one room. You can imagine what the movie will have to offer with a glimpse of last year’s images of Rihanna and Beyoncé below The First Monday in May premieres on April 15th in select theaters. I absolutely hate shoe strings. Before I put my sneakers on I take the strings and hide them neatly inside the shoes and it grinds my boyfriend’s gears:)  I have no desire to tie my shoestrings 100 times a day, tripping over them or getting them stuck in an escalator (this happened to me as a child). Don’t judge me. Either way I love the skater’s/slip on sneakers because they’re hassle free and very comfortable might I add.
